60% of married men and 40% of married women have had an affair. There are probably as many different reason to have an affair as there are difficult marriages. I am starting this blog to document the reasons that I am having an affair, and the reasons that all married people stray.
I suspect that some of my reasons for having an affair will be very common and others will be more unique to my marriage. Mostly, I am having an affair to carve out a little piece of happiness and do something that is totally for myself. For example, I am having an affair because I have never done my lover's laundry.
And for every reason that I am choosing to have an affair, there is also a reason that I chose to stay married.
